Rev. Elizabeth Moreau

Elizabeth Moreau

An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Rev. Moreau was educated at Perkins School of Theology at SMU. When health issues necessitated leaving the local church, she used the time to respond to one of the greatest needs in the local church today: the need for the laity to be taught the content of the faith and to come to see the world through the eyes of Christ – in short, to love God with all of their minds. Over a decade of service in the local church convinced Rev. Moreau that the laity desire the deeper things of God.

A native Texan, Rev. Moreau received a BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1985. She entered seminary in 1990 and graduated in 1994, after an internship at Westbury UMC in Houston. Following two years of service at Bradfield Chapel and Jenkins United Methodist Churches in Daingerfield, Rev. Moreau was ordained an elder and received into full connection in the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. From Daingerfield, she moved to Bay City and there served St. Paul’s UMC and Markham UMC, before moving to La Marque in 2001. Rev. Moreau pastored First United Methodist Church in La Marque until her health failed in 2004.

Raised in East Texas, Rev. Moreau now lives in Clear Lake, where she continues to write and teach as her health improves. She has one son, Paul, and is the grandmother of the most precious grandchildren ever born: Brandon, Kenny, Kyler, and Kambrei.
