We continue reading through "Ordinary Time" - that is, the weeks are in ordered by number, distinct from the Church's major feast seasons.  an extended season of "Ordinary time" in the Christian year. The readings until Christ the King Sunday are numbered (from the Latin ordo, meaning number) according to ordinary time.
